We are a dedicated team of flooring experts specializing in the creation of stunning epoxy flake floors. Matthew
Owner
After gaining hands-on experience in the epoxy industry for three years, Matthew launched Roder Epoxy in 2022. Returning to his hometown of Washington, Iowa, he set out to turn his entrepreneurial dream into a reality by building a business rooted in quality craftsmanship and local pride.
When he’s not managing projects or meeting with clients, Matthew enjoys spending time with his family, friends, and his girlfriend Julia. He’s also passionate about music, off-roading on his four-wheeler, and lending a hand on a friend’s farm often behind the wheel of a tractor.
Matthew takes pride in delivering exceptional results and ensuring every customer is 100% satisfied. His focus is on doing the job right the first time, with a commitment to high-quality work from start to finish.
Kyle
Foreman
Kyle brings energy, humor, and a strong work ethic to every job site. He is what we like to call the life of the party. Known for his quick wit, loud laugh, and ability to keep morale high, Kyle also knows when it is time to focus and get the job done. A fast learner and natural team player, he sets the tone for a positive and productive work environment.
Outside of work, Kyle plays rugby for the West Des Moines Wombats Rugby Club. He also enjoys golfing, spending time with his girlfriend Danni, and making memories with his family and friends.

With proper care, our coatings can last 15–20 years or more. We only use industrial-grade materials—no box store kits—so you’re getting long-term durability built to handle Iowa’s seasons, shop traffic, and heavy use.
Yes, we stand behind our work. We offer a 10-year manufacture warranty on most residential and commercial floors. Our urethane cement and high-wear systems for ag and industrial use come with added durability guarantees depending on the system.
Most jobs take 1–3 days depending on the system. Garage floors and shops are typically done in 2 days:
- Day 1: Grind, patch, base coat, and flake
- Day 2: Clear top coat (polyaspartic or polyurethane)
Larger or industrial installs may take longer.
Pricing varies based on the size of the job, the system you choose, surface prep needed, and travel distance. Every project is different, and we price accordingly.
Here’s a rough idea:
- Full Flake Systems– $5.50-$7.00 /sq ft
- Quartz System– $6.50-$8.00 /sq ft
- Silica Sand with High Ware– $4.75-7.00 /sq ft
- Metallics– $10.00-$15.00 /sq ft
- Hog building Urethane Cement– Priced by scope and square footage
